| The Gulf English School rugby club, proudly sponsored by Tadmur Holdings, currently in our second year, is a new club organised so the students at the school can try a new sport, and the turnout has been better and better as time has gone by. We went from getting five or six at training every week, to often more than 20 each week. We have played a few games against other schools from Qatar, and played in a tournament with the three schools from Qatar and three schools from Saudi Arabia, coming a respectable fifth out of seven. We are still building our team up and more and more interest in the team is spreading through the school, giving students an opportunity to get fit, learn a new game, build new skills, and to work as a team. |
