Testimonials : Cycling, contrary to what many understand, is a team sport as a norm in racing terms, and as such team paraphernalia and kit is always required. This is generally a challenge for amateur outfits and teams created for fun for certain events.
My first approach to Stud Rugby was a tentative one as the name suggested a focus towards rugby. I was pleasantly surprised when told that cycling shirts would pose no problem, and even more surprised when a few days later we have a design and costing and were ready to push the button on the roll out of cycling shirts for the “Double Century” road race. “Rabid Dog Racing” had been born, and the shirts that accompanied this suave outfit gave the team the professional and edge required to shave minutes off our time. We were the envy of other more laborious, conservative and tired teams who follow the bland reproduced, tried and trusted design route.
Fun and exciting and creatively designed outfits create a positive team environment and ethos, which affects performance positively.
Thus, when team shirts were required for the mountain biking events of Sani 2Sea and the Cape Epic, and team “Big Ring Action” was conceived for these events, the shirts were required to compliment the hype around the events and the name. Stud rugby, again, came to the party and assisted in the design, gave positive and creative input on design and ensured timeous delivery of possibly the best shirts to hit the cycling world since the inception of lycra wear for the sport.
The positive response by spectators in all events, especially from female admires (of all age groups) who appreciate fine design, was overwhelming. Many spectators actually wanted the shirts, and had the Credit Crunch hit my business harder I am sure I could market our cycling sports wear for handsome rewards, such was the hunger for the kit.
I certainly look forward to the next team kit to be produced by Stud Rugby and hope we can keep the creative juices flowing and produce yet another outfit that keeps people talking and enthralled and mesmerised, and brings the spectators coming back for more, and the competitors envious (and demoralized).
